These are brand new to me, both literally and knowledge-wise. Saw them the other night, thought they were beautiful, and they were pretty cheap. I love it
when that happens!
Under the impression that gemstone artists and craftsmen refer to these as 'spheres', but they look like marbles to me!
They also sound like marbles, smell like marbles, and would probably taste like marbles, but after finding that missing 13/16 Chinese marble from the other night and realizing
that I hadn't accidentally swallowed it, I'm not taking any chances with these two inch diameter guys.
To the best of my knowledge, here's 'Picasso Marble' from Utah, and 'Green Aventurine' from India. Cheers, Bob ( :
